TSK Troubleshooting

This troubleshooting chart is based of off the most frequent customer incidents.

Problem: I get brake light, but no running light on one side.  Both functions work on the other side.

Solution:  Each run/brake circuit has a resistor that dims the LEDs for the running light mode under the heat shrink tubing.  You most likely have pinched a wire and blown the resistor.  This resistor will act like a fuse.  You can get a replacement at Radio Shack, part number 271-1321.  Remove the wire in the stem and check for damage otherwise this problem will repeat itself.

Problem:  I don't get running lights on both LED boards.

Solution:  If you used the supplied 3M connectors, unplug the green wire from the bike.   Look inside the connector.  Most likely, the metal tab inside is pushed to one side.  Use a small, flat tip screwdriver to align the tab back to the center of the plastic body.

Problem:  I don't get brake lights on both LED boards.

Solution:  If you used the supplied 3M connectors, unplug the blue wire from the bike.   Look inside the connector.  Most likely, the metal tab inside is pushed to one side.  Use a small, flat tip screwdriver to align the tab back to the center of the plastic body.

Problem:  I don't get any lighting from the LED board.

Solution:  Try reversing both wires on the plug-in pins on the back of the LED board.  Since these are LEDs, you will NOT hurt anything by trying this.
