Trunk light
kit.
We use a 4
cluster white LED light with black housing
that neatly resides on the iinside trunk lid and not inside the trunk like all others. In this mounting method, you broaden
the beam path of the LEDs providing a a larger lighting path. The
advantage of this design is that you are not trying to light the trunk from the inside
of the trunk where light gets blocked by
helmets and other large items - the light is overhead and very effective.
This kit includes the harness needed for "Plug and Play" installation which
includes a master on/off
switch and a mercury tilt switch that only turns the
trunk light on when the trunk
has reached 1/2 open.
Saddlebag kit
(currently only works with 2001-2010 models).
Our second kit is for your saddlebags
where we use the same LEDs as in your trunk. Again, the LED's are
mounted on the door to provide the maximum amount of light in the bag yet be
unaffected by stored luggage.
The saddlebag lights are activated by the OEM switches in the latches and are a
"plug and play" installation (with
the exception of connecting the lights to the wiring harness). This kit
requires the trunk light kit for installation.
A master on/off
switch in the trunk disables ALL the lights in case motorcycle service is required
and the bags need to remain open for an extended period.
When the
right saddlebag is opened, only the
light in the right bag will illuminate - all 3 items operate separately from
each other.
note: if you are using both this kit
and the Honda lighted mirror, you will need a splitter.
