GL1800 Fuel Cap Harness

Taken from the GL1800riders.com website: "...I left my gas cap on a fuel pump...  I was almost 200 miles down the road before I noticed at the next fillup."

Most cars and trucks these days have a harness attached to the cap and the vehicle eliminating the problem.  Not so with the Wing.

In the design process for this harness, we had concerns.  It had to be static resistant; make sure the cable was designed for light weight loads; easy to install; rust and corrosion resistant; harmless to bike and user.

Our harness is made from a high-strength, corrosion resistant stainless steel that is soft, very flexible and finger-friendly with a protective plastic coating yet able to handle a weight of 15 pounds.  We add ends and include a stainless steel screw for mounting to the cap.  The harness is just the right length to allow the cap to hang over the top of the fuel door without scratching it (remember that protective cover on the cable?).
