| Update (7.26.10) The Battery
Monitor has had some changes to it: it's made in the USA again, uses
updated components and the electronics are now potted (the pic is going
to be updated). Proclaimed as an "Innovation of the Month" by Motorcycle
Consumer News and the "Smart Idiot Light" by another leading magazine editor,
this is the smallest and simplest monitoring device available. It's also more than a
light than comes on after it's too late; it's a unique and cost effective voltage
indicator. A 1/4" (T1 3/4) LED displays voltage levels using 3 colors in a
stoplight style arrangement:
RED - less than
11.5 volts
AMBER - 11.9 to
11.5 volts
GREEN - 12 volts
and up
Fuse protection, wiring, connector assortment and
complete instructions are included. Simple 2 wire installation. Remember, GREEN
means GO, AMBER is
WARNING, RED means STOP!
Designed for 3 different applications:
Great for cruisers...drill a small
1/4" hole in your headlight bucket and easily hide the unit.
Universal: bikes with fairing
or custom installation. 2 bezels and 1 decal.
GL1500: bike specific instructions, bezel and decal.
GL1800: bike specific instructions and bezel.
With some additional work, the unit
can be placed in the far right position of idiot lights on the GL1500 for a
factory appearance.
